ABOUT
“My art often deals with consumerism and the suburban dream. In my works I explore the brightness and darkness of that dream with a combo of pop colour, street edginess and social commentary. I also explore the cult of celebrity and the illusion of the beauty model in fashion advertising. I enjoy making new, edgy 'street queens' or my 'uptown girls' as I like to call them, crowned with random objects and symbols, but still a thing of abstract beauty..."
"I make an attempt to show the human condition with its foibles and follies, its madness and beauty, its shifting values mirrored and plotted for us by advertising in this diet fad, Facebook mad, Twitter tweet, consumer au go-go, wonderfully wobbly world… "
